Firefighters have tackled a blaze at a primary school which started in a toilet and spread to the roof.

Seven crews were called to Otley Primary School, in Chapel Road, near Ipswich, at 15:37 GMT.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said no injuries had been reported.

Firefighters used hose reel jets to try to control the spread of the flames with appliances from Ipswich East, Princes Street, Woodbridge and Framlingham in attendance.

In a statement the emergency service said the blaze was extinguished by 17:55.

Two appliances remained on site and an investigation into the cause of the fire will begin on Tuesday morning, when the school will remain closed.
