Couple 'fuming' after bus stop blocks driveway

The couple said the bus top has made everyday life "stressful"

A couple say they were left "fuming" after a bus stop was painted on the road directly outside their driveway.
Michelle Smith and Christopher Harris said they were told the stop would be further up the road.
But Michelle arrived home from work in August to find the stop on the road in front of her gates, with the couple describing the mix-up as "stressful" and "dangerous".
Rhondda Cynon Taf council apologised and promised to remove the stop, saying the process "didn't meet expected standards".

The couple said the stop has made day-to-day life stressful.
"There could be a 40-tonne bus pulling in as I am pulling off my drive," Christopher said.
"And there is the potential of school children waiting there, right outside my house."
Michelle added: "We have got drive gates, a dropped kerb and a 10-year-old granddaughter.
"We cannot see who is standing outside our gates because they are 6ft.
"My daughter cannot park outside our own house."

Christopher called the situation "unbelievable," adding: "They thought they could come here, plonk a bus stop, and we weren't going to do anything about it.
"We want it back to normal, like it was."
The council confirmed that traffic-calming measures removed to make way for the stop would also be reinstated.
In a statement, a spokesperson said: "We sincerely apologised to the impacted householders.
"Having reviewed the process undertaken, we found it did not meet the standards expected of us during the consultation period.
"As a result, the bus stop will be removed from the highway."
