Cocaine worth £66,000 and a set of designer watches have been seized by police in a raid in Greater Manchester.

Officers also discovered £30,000 in cash at a property in Pattern House, Castle Street, Stalybridge, on Friday.

A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs and money laundering.

Det Sgt Ian Parker of Greater Manchester Police, said the raid was part of an investigation into serious and organised crime and the force would “continue to tackle drug distribution”.

He said: "Our work is greatly assisted by intelligence gathered within the community - lawful citizens who are fed up of criminality and tell us about what they've seen.

“I want to let them know that we will always look into reports of any nature, and it all helps in building a case against criminals.”
