The Heart of Kent Hospice has unveiled a Shaun the Sheep art trail.

Over 100 sculptures of the children's cartoon character have been placed around Maidstone.

Each of the unique pieces will be auctioned off after being on display until 30 August.

Erica Snow, project manager at Heart of Kent Hospice said she hoped the new art trail would "raise vital funds for the hospice" when they are sold.

The trail named 'Shaun the Sheep in the Heart of Kent', external, is a partnership between the hospice, Wild in Art - a producer of public art events, Aardman - the creator of Shaun the Sheep, and Maidstone Borough Council.

The sculptures were decorated and designed by local schools, community groups and care homes.

Visitors can find the sculptures through the free map on mobile phone apps, or pick up a map from key locations around Maidstone town centre.

Ms Snow added: "The trail is not only fun but a great way to discover some of the amazing places in Maidstone town centre including iconic attractions together with the picturesque parks and river walks."
