Here is a selection of the photographs we received from around the world.

Victor Tregubov: "Enjoying the view in the Bavarian Alps."

Jonathan Tallon: "The top of the Icon ride at Blackpool Pleasure Beach."

Bhargav Nunna: "Blue tit feeding on the wetlands of WWT Martin Mere."

Vuckovic Lidia: "Embodying stillness and silence on top of the world."

Jeremy Exelby: "This mountain in the Black Desert, Egypt, provides views that seem to go on forever."

George Conneely: "My dog, Rosie, admiring the full rainbow at the top of Helvellyn, in the Lake District."

Hayley King: "Iconic view from the peak of Sugarloaf Mountain, looking over the beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil."

Caroline Ebbage: "My husband and I have challenged ourselves to run the length of the South West Coast Path. This steep section, near Bude in Cornwall, felt like we were on top of the world. Between the rocks is a glimpse of the GCHQ listening station."

Leana Smith: "The summit of Mount Snowdon, Wales, above the clouds."

Doris Enders: "A Northern cardinal on top of his world."

Emma Warren: "When the wheels fell off the mining industry in Ny London, Svalbard, the machinery was just abandoned there - so close to the top of the world."

Christopher Stone: "The top of the staircase leading to the summit of Mount Washington, in New Hampshire's Presidential range, which, at 6,288ft (1,900m), is the highest peak in the northeastern USA. The top of the mountain has a tundra-like climate, and on this June day was cold and shrouded in fog."

Dave Moore: "Islands in the sky."

Andrew Card: "Always feel on top of the world during bee inspections, especially with an audience."
