A 14-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a car in Derbyshire.

Derbyshire Police said officers were called to King Street, Alfreton, at about 16:30 GMT on Saturday following the collision between a white Mercedes-Benz and a boy on an electric bicycle.

The boy was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening, the force said.

Officers added after the collision, another driver told witnesses they had a dashcam, and they are appealing for that driver to come forward.
