Counterfeit England shirts found in raid

Up to 180 fake football shirts, strips and tracksuits, including England items, have been seized.
Trading standards officers recovered items of counterfeit football kit when they raided a house in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent.
The city council said the raid took place "hours before" England kicked off their Euro 2024 match against Denmark on 20 June.
The counterfeit items were estimated to have a street value of over £3,500 and a genuine retail value of more than £15,000, it added.
Officers found the items after following up on advertisements which were promoting the fake shirts online.
Alongside counterfeit England kit and socks, the haul also included fake football-branded items for teams such as Scotland, Spain and Brazil and clubs Manchester United and Newcastle United.
The business owner was under investigation, the council said.
Deputy leader, Amjid Wazir, said counterfeit items "undermines the hard work of legitimate businesses" in the city.
“Counterfeit traders want to take advantage of consumers at a time when everyone is feeling so good supporting England as they progress in Euro 2024," he said.
"This action sends a clear message to those who engage in illegal trading that this will not be tolerated."
