A woman has suffered serious injuries after a car hit a wall in the West Midlands

She was taken to hospital after emergency services were called to Camp Hill, Wordsley, just after 01:00 GMT.

Another adult and three children have also been taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be serious, police said.

The A491 Camp Hill remained closed in both directions on Monday afternoon, and there was heavy traffic from the B4180 Brierley Hill Road to Brook Street.

Three ambulances and other medical support were sent to the scene, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

The woman was cut free from the vehicle before being treated for serious injuries and taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment, it said.

A second female patient and three children were assessed and treated for minor injuries before being taken to Russells Hall Hospital.
