An outlet to help people affected by hair loss through cancer and other conditions is due to open on Friday.

Cleopatra's Legacy, a community interest company, opens on Chatham High Street, Kent.

Sited within the beauty salon Cleopatra's Beauti Spot, it will offer wigs, headscarves and mastectomy prosthetics.

By sharing a space with the salon, its founder said she hopes to create a more relaxed and non-clinical atmosphere for those seeking advice.

Founder Desiree Nurse said: “Our mission is to create a safe place where people can feel understood, supported, and beautiful.

“We understand the emotional and physical toll that mastectomy and hair loss can take, and we are committed to helping our clients regain their confidence and sense of self."
