Police have released CCTV images of a man, taken shortly before he was seen entering a river in Ironbridge.

The man, thought to be in his 30s, is said to have got into the River Severn at about 21:50 GMT on Friday, near the Robin Hood Inn.

He is described as white with short dark hair, of medium build, and was last seen wearing no top and dark trousers.

Police have appealed for help identifying the man, who remains missing.

Detective Inspector Steve Goddard, said: “Following our initial appeal, we have received information from the public that the man is believed to have a dragon tattoo on the right of his chest.

“If anyone recognises him from these images, or the descriptions we have provided, please get in touch immediately.”
