Sean Dyche 'not expecting' Green Day praise

Everton manager Sean Dyche said he "was not expecting" to get a message from rock band Green Day after their win at the Merseyside Derby.
Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong congratulated Everton after they beat Liverpool 2-0 at Goodison on Wednesday.
In a video message on X, external (formerly Twitter) the rock band frontman said the win was a "fantastic victory".
Dyche, who counts himself as a fan after being convinced to see the band live by former England player Stuart Pearce, said the video showed "the power of social media".

Speaking to BBC Radio Merseyside ahead of Everton's next home game against Brentford on Saturday, Dyche said the video message from Armstrong came about "all by accident".
He said: "I didn't design it, it was an interview scenario about football and music.
Dyche had encouraged people to go and see the band during an appearance on a podcast, after telling a story about how Stuart Pearce had convinced him to buy tickets.
At the time, Dyche had called the band "terrific".
"I wasn't expecting it to get picked up by someone who then listened to it [the podcast] and then go to the singer of the band," Dyche said.
"What's come next, that's the power of social media I suppose."
The 52-year-old previously expressed his love for the American Idiot singers in an interview for Football Music & Me on The Overlap, external.
Dyche said Green Day is not the only band he has met and enjoys listening to.
He added: "I was with the lads from the Blossoms recently who are just great, there are so many."
