Attempted murder charge after boy, 15, stabbed

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed.

Emergency services were called to Burdock Close in Crawley at about 23:20 BST on Sunday after a report the teenager had been stabbed.

He remains in a serious condition in hospital.

Sussex Police said an 18-year-old man from the Broadfield area of Crawley had been charged with attempted murder.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Crawley Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

A 17-year-old arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been bailed pending further enquiries, the force added.
