Man admits possessing weapon over stabbing

A man accused of attempted murder over a stabbing has admitted being in possession of an offensive weapon.

Razvan Mut, 33, of no fixed address, pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder charge in court on Friday.

The hearing concerned events in the Handsworth area of Birmingham in April in which a 64-year-old man was seriously hurt.

Mr Mut is due to next appear before Birmingham Crown Court on 5 July.
