Condor Ferries has scheduled two new sailings on Thursday due to bad weather expected on Friday

Condor Ferries passengers expecting to sail on Friday are being encouraged to switch to an earlier sailing on Thursday amid an "unpredictable weather forecast".

The company said it had scheduled a new Liberation sailing to Guernsey and Jersey, which will operate from Poole, and a new Voyager round trip sailing from St Malo to Jersey and Guernsey for Thursday.

Elwyn Dop, Condor’s operations director, said the weather forecast for Friday looked "outside of our safe operating limits".

Condor Ferries said services over the weekend may also be impacted.
