A woman has suffered serious injuries after a vehicle crashed into a house in Exeter, police said.
Devon and Cornwall Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after officers were called to Parkway in Exeter at about 12:55 BST on Tuesday.
Police said the injuries of the woman in her 60s, who was an occupant in the property, were now believed to be serious.
The force said the crash involved a blue Citroen C1 and asked anyone with relevant information or dashcam footage which may assist with the investigation to contact police.
'Structural damage'
The force said it was liaising with Exeter City Council.
A council spokesperson said the house was not one of their properties but their surveyors had attended at the request of the fire service and advised there was "structural damage that needed to repaired to make the property safe again".
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said two people were trapped in the car and crews used hydraulic equipment to free them.
South Western Ambulance Service also attended and took one patient to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
