Extra police patrols will be carried out in Wolverhampton over the coming days as a murder investigation into a man's fatal shooting continues.
The victim, 30, died after the attack on Lilleshall Crescent, in the Graiseley area of the city, at about 00:15 BST on Saturday.
A cordon remained in place on Sunday morning, West Midlands Police said, while forensic officers inspected the scene.
Ch Insp Richard Evans said the force understood how upsetting the incident was and officers would be available to assist residents who might be impacted by the police activity.
"There will be extra patrols continuing over the coming days and our local teams are also liaising closely with partner agencies, and community and faith groups across the city," he added.
Anyone who has information which could help the investigation has been urged to contact police on 101.
