Man jailed over indecent images of children

David Seccull, 68, was sentenced to three years and two months in prison

A man described by police as a "managed" sex offender has been jailed after indecent images of children were found on his devices.
At Warwick Crown Court, David Seccull, 68, pleaded guilty to making and distributing category A, B and C images, possession of prohibited images and possession of extreme images.
Warwickshire Police said Seccull had almost completed his time as a "managed sex offender" when officers received information that he was continuing to offend and executed a warrant at his address in August last year.
He was sentenced on Friday to three years and two months in prison.
On 2 May, Seccull, from Bedworth, also pleaded guilty to possession of a bladed article, in relation to a separate incident where he turned up with a knife while answering bail, police said.
PC Naomi Radford, of Warwickshire Police, said Seccull would be on the sex offenders register for 10 years and would also be subject to a sexual harm prevention order.
"Hopefully this case shows that even when offenders think we are not watching them, we are always there and if you continue to engage in illegal activity online then we will work hard to prosecute you," she added.
"I hope prison serves as a reminder to Seccull of the harm his behaviour has caused to his victims."
