Arrest after attempted supermarket robbery

A man has been arrested following an attempted robbery at a supermarket in West Sussex, police have said.
The alleged incident happened at Morrisons Daily in Heene Road in Worthing at about 06:00 BST on Monday, according to Sussex Police.
A 46-year old from Worthing has been arrested and remains in custody, the force said.
A police spokesperson said the public can expect to see a "heightened police presence" in the area while officers conduct their enquiries.
The force asked anyone with information to come forward.
