Two people have been hit by a car which mounted a pavement and collided on a pedestrian zone in the west end of Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to Byres Road at Vinicombe Street at about 11.30 and police sealed off the area for several hours before reopening at about 15:00.

A seating area next to a Christmas tree near the Hillhead Bookclub bar was badly damaged. There were no injuries requiring hospital treatment.
