Hunt for man who spanked his bare bottom in street

The first incident happened in an alleyway leading to Amber Court in York

An investigation has been launched after a man "exposed his buttocks" and spanked himself in front of passing women.

North Yorkshire Police said both incidents happened in York on Tuesday and involved a suspect described as a white man of large build who was aged around 40.

At about 18:35 GMT on Emerald Street, a woman reported seeing a man expose his buttocks in an alleyway leading to Amber Court.

He reportedly also made "inappropriate comments" towards her.

A second incident was reported to have happened in Scarborough Terrace, Bootham, half an hour later.

Another woman saw a man on his bike cycle past her, while exposing his bottom and spanking himself.

The suspect, who was wearing a dark top and baggy trousers, then headed in the direction of Burton Stone Lane.

Anyone who saw the suspect or witnessed something similar has been asked to contact North Yorkshire Police.
