A stretch of the M60 near Manchester was closed due to a police incident.

All three lanes on the anti-clockwise carriageway were shut between Junction 12 for the M602 and Junction 10 for Trafford Park.

National Highways North West said a diversion was in place and signs had been put up.

Greater Manchester Police later confirmed the road had re-opened shortly after 10:00 BST.

The incident had involved concerns for the safety of a man, the force said.
