Guernsey's Town Church will receive a budget of £215,907 for repairs and upkeep, it has been decided.

The ratepayers' money was agreed at the St Peter Port parish meeting on Monday night.

Constables said the budget was approved by an "overwhelming majority" of parishioners.

The money will be spent on work including upkeep of the Parish Church Bells and remuneration of bell ringers on public occasions.
