Part of the A14 in Northamptonshire has reopened after more than 21 hours following a crash involving three lorries.

National Highways said there was a "significant" fuel spill on the westbound carriageway between junction 11, for Cranford and Finedon, and junction 10, for Burton Latimer, after the incident at about 08:00 BST on Monday.

One person was freed from a vehicle, but Northamptonshire Police said there were no life-threatening injuries or arrests, although it was looking into potential offences by people filming the scene as they passed.

National Highways contractors removed the top layer of the road so it could reopen just after 05:00 BST on Tuesday, with a reduced speed limit.
