Murder investigation launched after woman dies

A murder investigation has been launched after a woman who was found in a serious condition died in hospital.

Thames Valley Police said it was called to Rochford Gardens in Slough, Berkshire, just before 15:00 GMT on 14 February and found a woman in a life-threatening condition.

Brigitta Rasuli, 53, was taken to hospital but she died on Saturday 1 March.

A 57-year-old man, Samir Rasuli, was previously charged with attempted murder and was remanded in custody to appear at Reading Crown Court on 17 March.

Senior investigating officer, Det Ch Insp Laura Corscadden of the Major Crime Unit, said: "My thoughts are with the victim's family at this extremely difficult time."
