Murder trial set after man, 27, dies on street

A provisional trial date has been set for a 31-year-old man charged with murder.

Indogan Erdogan, of no fixed abode, is accused of killing Fatih Zengi on 2 July.

The 27-year-old victim was found with serious injuries on Manchester Road in Swindon, Wiltshire, at about 05:10 BST and died shortly afterwards.

Mr Erdogan, who is also charged with possession of a bladed article, appeared at Bristol Crown Court earlier, where his trial date of 5 January 2026 was set. He will remain in custody until the two-week trial begins.
