Murder charge as man dies after suspected assault

A man has been charged with murder following an alleged assault in a Kent town, police have said.
Daniel Beard, 51, was reportedly knocked unconscious on 1 July after being punched in the head in Edwards Close in Snodland, officers said.
He was airlifted to a London hospital and died from his injuries on Monday, police said.
Ryan Greaves, 31, of Thomson Close, Snodland, was initially arrested and charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, but was later rearrested and the charge was upgraded to murder.
He has been remanded to appear before Medway Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
