Disruption warning ahead of hospital car park work

Hospital car parks will be restricted on Saturday

Visitors to Derby's main hospital on Saturday are being warned to expect disruption.
Due to ongoing work to build a 500-space multi-storey at Royal Derby Hospital access will be blocked to a number of car parks at the site.
From 07:00 to 16:00 GMT, patients and visitors will be unable to access car parks two and three and entrance nine on Blue Light Road.
A spokesperson for the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Trust said the work "will unavoidably cause some temporary disruption" but is needed "to ensure safe construction can continue".
Access to Blue Light Road will be maintained for ambulance and emergency drop offs only, the trust said.
Blue badge-only spaces will be available in car park four, but drivers are asked to use the park and ride service from 07:30.
The spokesperson said: "We understand the construction will cause some disruption for our communities, and we appreciate your support."
