A family and community have been left "utterly heartbroken" after a man was killed in a crash.
Wesley Williams, 25, died when he was hit by a car on the B5013 at Blithfield Reservoir near Abbots Bromley, Staffordshire, on Tuesday evening.
A 17-year-old boy, from Stafford, has since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, Staffordshire Police said.
In a family statement, Mr Williams, from Smethwick, was described as "a man of faith, kindness and integrity".
"He cared deeply for the homeless and the less fortunate, reaching out to men, women and children of all ages," they said.
"His compassion and love for people made him extraordinary and his loss has left us and the community utterly heartbroken.
"Wesley will forever be remembered as 'the Sunset Seeker' — a young man who chased beauty, lived by faith and cared deeply for others. May his soul rest in eternal peace."
Police said the teenager who was arrested has been released on conditional bail while their investigation continues.
Officers have appealed for any witnesses to come forward, particularly anyone travelling near Blithfield Reservoir between 21:15 and 21:35 BST on Tuesday.
