A teenager has been detained in hospital after pleading guilty to two counts of attempted murder.

Sussex Police were called to an address in Worthing in the early hours of 14 January after a man and a woman in their 40s were seriously injured.

The teenager, a 15-year-old boy who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted murder at a previous court hearing.

He was detained under the Section 37 act and given a hospital order at Lewes Crown Court.
