Approval has been given for a former school to be converted into 19 apartments.
North East Lincolnshire Council agreed plans for a mix of apartments ranging from one to three-bed on Bursar Street in Cleethorpes.
Bursar Primary School, whose buildings are locally listed for their heritage value, and are described in a council report as "beginning to degrade", moved to the former site of Matthew Humberstone Lower School on Clee Road in 2018.
The council planning officer, who recommended approval, said: "In bringing it [the buildings] back into use, it would better protect the heritage significance of the structure."
Doncaster-based SCE-D Limited sought permission to develop the buildings into 21 apartments but this was revised to 19.
According to the Local Democracy Reporting Service, the conversion will include a mix of 14 two and three-bed apartments in the former school's main building, and one two-bed and four one-bed apartments in the smaller former school building.
The school's former playground will become parking and open space for residents. Parking capacity will be increased from 25 spaces to 31 spaces after neighbours raised concerns about the development impacting parking in adjoining streets.
Access for vehicles will be via a previous school entrance on Bursar Street, which will be widened to enable two cars to pass.
The conversion into apartments was viewed as "an opportunity to repurpose these structures in a positive manner maintaining a positive street scene for occupiers and visitors to the area".
