Visitors will be invited to take part in a harvest-themed fancy dress competition to celebrate a town's horticultural links.

Spalding's Pumpkin Festival, which will take place in the town centre on 4 October from 11:00 to 15:00 BST, will also include live music, pumpkin crafts and sculptures.

Additional stalls with seasonal items will add to the town's usual Saturday market and local shops will join in the autumnal celebrations in a shop window display competition.

Hall Place in Spalding town centre will be closed to traffic from 07:00 until 17:00 during the event.
