A 16-year-old girl has died following a multi-vehicle crash on the A1(M) in West Yorkshire.
Sarah Cain, from Hartlepool, died in hospital on Saturday after suffering serious injuries in the crash near Ferrybridge on Thursday, police said.
In a statement, Ms Cain's family said they were "devastated" at her death, adding that the teenager "is and always will be irreplaceable".
The male driver of one of the cars involved in the crash, who was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, had been released on bail, according to West Yorkshire Police.
'Investigations ongoing'
Two other people who were in vehicles involved in the crash and who were left seriously injured remained in hospital, police added.
The crash happened between junctions 41 and 40 of the A1(M) near Ferrybridge at about 12:35 BST on Thursday.
A Citroen C5 was in collision with a Kia Niro, in which Ms Cain was travelling, and both vehicles then collided with a Subaru Outback towing a caravan, police said.
A force spokesperson said: "A number of investigations remain ongoing into this very serious collision which has tragically resulted in a young teenage girl now losing her life.
"Her family continue to be supported by specially trained officers, and we also continue to appeal for information."
Anyone who saw what happened or who had dashcam footage of the collision was asked to get in touch with West Yorkshire Police.
