Arrest after woman seriously injured in collision

A man has been arrested after a woman was seriously injured when she was hit by a car as she was walking on Saturday morning.
The injured 40-year-old, who was walking along Dorcan Way in Swindon at the time, remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition, Wiltshire Police said.
A 47-year-old man has been questioned and released under investigation, the force added.
Anyone who was in the area between 04:00 and 06:00 GMT has been asked to contact police.
