A couple from Germany are looking for a child in Devon who wrote a message in a bottle, which they found washed up on a beach in Denmark.
Barnstaple Town Council said the bottle had been found in Fjaltring, Denmark, and had been written by someone from Barnstaple.
In a note to the council, the couple said they had been walking along the beach when they found the bottle - which may have been sent by a 12-year-old child called Ezra while on holiday in Acol, Kent.
The pair, who said their names were Wilma and Rainer, said they were "very happy to have found a message in a bottle".

The letter said the child was on holiday but lived in Barnstaple.
It reads: "Hello, my name is Ezra I am 12 years old and currently on holiday in Acol but live in Barnstaple.
"If you receive this please contact (redacted) and it is 2025 Tuesday August 26th".
A spokesperson for the council said: "We're trying to find the person who wrote a message in a bottle that's just been found in Denmark!
"If you think you might know who sent it, we'd love to let them know their note made it all that way."
