Bottled water has been delivered to people affected by a burst water main, South West Water has said.

The company said the issue was between Avonwick and Diptford, in Devon, and teams "are working hard to make sure all customers remain in supply".

It added it was a "complex repair" and "a small number of bottled water deliveries" had been made.

The firm said: "We are working to complete the repair as quickly as possible."

A spokesperson for South West Water said: "We are aware of a burst water main between Avonwick and Diptford and our teams are working hard to make sure all customers remain in supply.

"This is a complex repair due to the size of the water main and requires us to bring in specialist equipment."
