A Jersey charity has asked for more people to sign up to its biggest fundraiser of the year.
Jersey Mencap's South Coast Charity Challenge is a 15-mile (24.1km) walk between La Rocque and Corbiere on Sunday 19 May.
The charity helps people with learning disabilities through support services and social campaigns.
Its hopes the event will raise £15,000 is calling on more people to register.
‘Treat yourself’
Matt Harmon has been supported by Jersey Mencap to help with his learning disability.
He said he hopes more people “sign up for the walk and enjoy it because you can then treat yourself after the long walk”.
People can sign up for either the 15 mile or the five mile (8km) route.
Mr Harmon said he had to “put my heart into it” when he did the challenge last year.
Sarah McCluskey has signed up to do the challenge, and said there was “such a nice atmosphere” when she did it previously .
“You meet new people and you get that sense of community from doing the walk,” she said.
The charity said 220 people have signed up for the walk, but it is aiming for between 500 to 600.
Ali Hand from the charity said the challenge is the biggest fundraiser of the year and "we estimate around £15,000 would be fundraised”.
She said money raised would help “projects and activities that we run across the island, which includes the seated indoor bowls, art classes, and our social club”.
