The mother of a 20-year-old man who was last seen falling into a river says she is "devastated and heartbroken".

Jake Jones, from Sedbury in Gloucestershire, has been missing since he fell into the River Wye in Monmouthshire on Monday.

Gloucestershire Police has centred search efforts between the M48 and A48, south of Chepstow.

"We are asking everyone to be vigilant and keep a look out for our boy," Mr Jones' mother Louise Jones said.

Officers have urged anyone who was in the area between 17:00 BST and 18:30 BST on Monday who may have information to contact them.

They also want to speak to anyone who was on a boat or saw a boat during this time.
