Man dies after being hit by a lorry in Donegal

A man in his 30s has died after he was struck by a lorry in Letterkenny, County Donegal.
The incident happened at about 06:00 local time on Friday at Magheranan on the main road between Letterkenny and Ramelton.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to Letterkenny University Hospital for a post mortem examination.
The lorry driver was uninjured.
The R245 road remains closed and garda forensic investigators will carry out a technical examination of the scene.
Witnesses, including anyone with dash-cam footage, have been asked to come forward.
The man's death brings the number of people killed on roads in the Republic so far this year to 43.
