A teenager has been seriously injured in a crash between a motorcycle and a car, police have said.

Wiltshire Police said the collision happened on Okus Road at the junction with Curie Avenue in Swindon at about 15:35 BST on Tuesday.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 19-year-old man, was taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries while the driver of the car, a woman in her 40s, was uninjured, officers said.

The road was closed in both directions to allow inquiries to take place, and the closure is likely to remain in place until the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Police are asking any witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam footage to get in touch.
