A man is in a critical condition after a "targeted" attack which saw two cars crash into a house in Rotherham.
Emergency services were called to a disturbance on Woodland Drive at 10:16 BST after a grey Audi A3 and a white Audi S3 crashed into the gates of a property.
South Yorkshire Police said a fight broke out at the scene and three men, including a 21-year-old who suffered life-threatening injuries, were taken to hospital.
A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding causing grievous bodily harm along with a man, aged 33, who has been held on suspicion on affray.
Det Ch Insp James Horsfield said it was believed all those involved were known to each other and it was a targeted incident.
Appealing for information, he added: "A man is currently fighting for his life and we owe it to him and his family to find answers."
Police said one of the other men taken to hospital was being treated for serious injuries while the third man was later discharged.
