Tributes to 'much-loved' dad who died after crash

A man who died six days after a crash has been described as a much-loved father to four boys, and a cherished son and brother.

Steven Simpson, 42, of Bilbrook died in hospital on Monday 10 November following a collision between a car and van on Stourbridge Road in Wombourne, on Tuesday 4 November.

"You are gone but will never be forgotten.. thank you for your strength and spirit in life," said his family in a tribute issued via Staffordshire Police.

The force is continuing to appeal for information in relation to the crash, which happened near Beggars Bush Lane on the A449 at 05:45 GMT on 4 November.

"It's with deep sadness that Steven passed away on Monday 10 November due to the injuries he sustained in a road traffic collision on Tuesday 4 November," said his family.

"You live on through the memories we hold dear. Rest peacefully Ste," they added.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is urged to contact the collision investigation unit at Staffordshire Police.
