Dragons' Den brothers in supermarket sauce deal

Jayden Manders (right) said he felt like the "luckiest man" when the brothers secured a Dragons' Den investment

Two brothers who began making homemade sauce in their mother's kitchen have secured a deal with a supermarket giant.
Jayden and Brendan Manders, from Quinton, Birmingham, started their sauce empire with just £100 each before they secured a £90,000 investment from Dragons' Den star Emma Grede.
From Sunday, Lumberjaxe sauce was made available in Aldi nationwide. Reacting to the news Brendan, said: "It's a bit surreal. If someone told us last year we'd be in Aldi stores, we'd have laughed."
Jayden added: "I feel like the luckiest man. We went there [Dragons' Den] and poured our hearts out and as you can see."
He added: "We're just two Brummie lads, literally from a council estate, who built their way up.
"We had £100 each and we tried to go on TV for £90,000 - it's a bit of a jump isn't it?
"We got the investment from Emma Grede and she's been the loveliest, loveliest person to have around our business. It's exactly what we needed."
Julie Ashfield, chief commercial officer at Aldi UK, said: "At Aldi, we love to champion growing UK businesses.
"Brendan and Jayden's story is truly inspiring, and the sauces are delicious, so we can't wait to bring this fantastic product to our shoppers."
