Hull's Calum Scott to headline new hometown festival

Hull singer-songwriter Calum Scott will headline a new music festival in his hometown later this summer.
The 35-year old will play at Zebedee's Yard on Thursday 8 August as part of "Live from the Yard", external.
Tickets go on sale later this month and cost £50.40 including booking fees.
Other acts announced to perform across the weekend include indie rockers Ocean Colour Scene, Embrace and Cast.
Scott told the BBC: "As soon as I was told I could do this gig I snapped it up so quick.
"I love playing for my own people, I love playing for Yorkshire and I love playing for Hull specifically," he said.
The gig will mark the first time the former council worker has performed in his hometown since securing the supporting slot for Ed Sheeran's world tour.
And the singer said working with one of the biggest-selling artists in the world has been eventful. "[Ed Sheeran] had a bit of a tumble on stage last night but he took it like a champ.
"He just knocked the stairs as he went up but he’s fine apart from a little graze," he said.
Scott, who reached the final of Britain's Got Talent in 2015, performed with Take That at the King's Coronation concert last year and was also nominated for a Brit award.
