Members of the public have been reminded to avoid taking glass with them to Guernsey beaches.
The reminder was issued following reports of broken glass found scattered on Amarreurs beach.
Guernsey's Agriculture, Countryside & Land Management Services said people should take their litter home or put it in the appropriate bin.
It also advised people to take reusable plastic containers onto the beach rather than glass to avoid risk of injury to themselves and to others.
The land service added: "Guernsey's beaches are among our most valuable natural assets.
"We can all help preserve their beauty and keep them safe by ensuring we leave them clean and free of litter."
