A teenage motorcyclist who was killed in a crash will be "dearly missed", his family have said.

Theo Ganderton was riding a white Yamaha bike when he was involved in a crash with a black Audi TT on Thornhill Road in Streetly, Walsall, shortly before 23:30 BST on Friday.

Paramedics tried to save the 17-year-old, who lived in Streetly, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, Staffordshire Police said.

In a statement, Theo's family said he was a "beloved" son, brother, uncle, cousin, grandson, nephew and friend.

"He was full of love for the people close to him and had many hobbies, including ice skating, motorcycling and karate," they added.

"We'd like to thank all those involved in the efforts to save Theo's life. He'll be dearly missed by all who knew him."

The driver of the Audi stayed at the scene and is helping officers with their inquiries.

Anyone who saw what happened or who may have footage have been urged to contact police.
