Teen cyclist seriously injured in crash with moped

A teenage cyclist was seriously injured in a crash with a moped which closed a major route in Oxford.

Part of Banbury Road in Summertown was shut at about 08:20 GMT and reopened at about 17:00.

The cyclist was taken to hospital.

Thames Valley Police asked residents to avoid the area and find alternative routes while emergency services dealt with the incident.
