Overnight and weekend closures of the A30 have been announced as part of works to dual a section of the road in Cornwall.

National Highways said people should plan ahead and allow extra time for journeys during the closures.

There will be overnight closures between Chiverton Cross and Carland Cross from Monday until 3 November, between 20:00 GMT and 06:00, to prepare for a weekend closure.

The weekend closure is due to take place between Chiverton Cross and Boxheater from 20:00 on 3 November until 06:00 on 6 November.

Map of traffic diversion for weekend closures

Traffic will be diverted via the A3076/A3058 and the A3075 during the overnight closures, and the B3285 and the A3075 during the weekend closure.

The work is being done as part of the government’s Road Investment Strategy, which is looking to convert the A30 from Chiverton Cross and Carland Cross into a dual carriageway.

Future closures, which are subject to change, are also due to be in place throughout November and December.
