Fellside CHP provides power to the Sellafield plant

Workers supplying power to the the Sellafield nuclear site have suspended their strike action after a new pay offer was made.

Almost 40 workers at Fellside Combined Heat and Power facility, the plant supplying steam and power to the Cumbria site, were set to walk out for 24 hours on Tuesday after previously turning down two offers.

Unite said the strike had been suspended while members were balloted on the new deal.

A spokesperson for plant owner PX Limited said they improved the pay offer after further talks with the union.
