Police have launched an appeal for information after three masked men broke into a house in Loughborough and threatened a woman with a screwdriver.
Leicestershire Police said the occupant of a house in Byron Street Extension heard a noise at about 20:30 BST on Sunday and, when she entered the hallway, saw the three men.
They threatened her and held her down before stealing jewellery, the force added.
Det Sgt Parm Kang said it was "a distressing incident for the victim", who sustained minor injuries.
The force believes the men were last seen driving away towards Derby Road and the town centre.
Anyone with any information or who "may have seen any suspicious activity" has been urged to contact police.
