Man held after armed response to 'weapon' incident in village

A man has been arrested after reports he had been seen carrying a "possible weapon" in a Cornish village, police have said.
Devon and Cornwall Police were called to Threemilestone, near Truro, at 17:55 BST on Monday.
A police spokesperson said firearms units, response officers and the police helicopter were deployed to carry out a search of the area.
The 26-year-old from Truro was located a short time later at Royal Cornwall Hospital and was arrested on suspicion of assault and affray.
He remains in police custody.
